Wonderful five star story - like a breath of fresh air in an Amish book. 

Marital tensions. A difficult pregnancy. An heirloom cradle. 

When Rebekah learns that Joseph is keeping a secret correspondence with Katie Knepp, she also learns that she is with child. But when her father falls ill and tensions erupt with Joseph, Rebekah finds lessons in love and trust in the most unlikely place.

 Life around Rebekah and Joseph’s Gasthof Village homestead is better than she could have ever imagined. That is, until her father, Samuel, takes sick yet again. As Rebekah comes to terms with her father's illness, a summer storm renders Joseph an invalid and forces her to rely on God - and herself - in ways she never 

This is the first Amish story I have read. But having read others by this author I trust in her ability to draw me into the story. This did not disappoint.
